| Event | | Operation Shoebox Packing Event June 28 | | Saturday, June 28, 2008 | The Operation Shoebox packing event in Somerville June 28 will be at Veteran's Plaza alongside the administration building on Grove Street. We'll begin unloading our truck at 8 a.m. to set up. Packing will begin at 11 a.m. and is scheduled to run through 3 p.m.
We're asking those who attend to bring a bag of donated supplies off the below shopping list. More details can be found at www.opshoeboxnj.org.
The following list contains items frequently requested by U.S. soldiers and Marines serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Please note that aerosol products cannot be shipped overseas. Also, all items must be in their original packaging. When in doubt, think small. It is easier to ship smaller packaged items than large, economy size.
